July 24, 2023 - Dark, almost brooding crimson color. Great Paso aromatics of fruit, field flowers and dusty terroir. Black and blue fruits, dried herbs, oak. Slightly stewed both on the nose and palate, and alcohol rising. Round and mouth filling with a longish, flavorful finish. Maybe those who say this is entering its second stage are on to something, but this feels slightly cooked and heading south to us. Drink up.

July 23, 2023 - Still big and burly, with lots of black and blue fruit. Huge finish that lingered for about a minute. This bottle was squarely in its secondary phase, with lots of time to go. Great stuff.

March 24, 2023 - Starting to show age with tertiary flavours, but still lots of fruit. Gentle and like velvet, but still with lots of power.

January 23, 2022 - Should last longer if you choose, but no need to be shy about this one. Drink up! Tons of big dark fruits. Silky smooth with the right amount of tannins to keep it from getting flabby. Yum!!

November 14, 2020 - Consistent with an earlier bottle. Impenetrable purple in color. It has aromas of dark fruits like plum, blueberry and blackberry that explode out of the glass. On the palate there are these berries plus a kind of cigar taste that is like a meal. Drinking beautifully now.

November 1, 2020 - This bottle was better than the last one and more like what we expect from MFN. I'm glad I decanted it carefully, it was LOADED with sediment.
