February 18, 2023 - Inky dark in the glass. Big fruit nose, nearly indistinguishable sweat tobacco leaf, but not enough of the beach nut. First sip after opening was smooth, red tart cherries and raspberry with cola, spice and vanilla. Finish is smooth and long. So far, comparison to a 2015 Cattle King shows the King to be a little more complex, thus far edging out the Hidden. After time in the glass it continues on a smooth, rich, voluptuous, mouth-coating trajectory keeping a fairly consistent taste profile.

February 12, 2023 - Super Bowl Sunday and our annual party I decided to go with Syrah as you have to over come the chili. This wine as well as the others did just that. Dark berries, a touch of raspberry, licorice, smoke and dried spices. The finish was moderate to long and surprisingly smooth.

February 4, 2023 - Solid but expected more given all the ratings. Finished middle of the pack in a blind tasting behind syrahs from Cayuse and The Walls. 2 hour decant.

July 22, 2022 - A really well made wine. Better on night two. Yummy

May 14, 2022 - Decanted for a couple hours. Medium to full bodied. An excellent blend of minerals and earth with dark fruit in the background. Very, very smooth wine with a long finish. I think it’s in its peak drinking period. An absolutely wonderful wine that paired well with a Waygu tenderloin.
