January 9, 2024 - It needed some time to breathe and has 5 or more years it could develop. Still some primary characters of ripe plum with developing secondaries of chocolate, cigar box and earthiness. Comes across like a coonawarra cab in many ways

January 28, 2019 - Not a fan of this wine. It's just not my style as it appears to be relatively one-dimensional. Flavours and balance did not develop significantly with more time to breathe. It's ok but not something I would chase at this price point.

May 6, 2018 - Redman Cellar Door (Coonawarra): Very nice, fruit-forward Shiraz, with little of the animal/bacon character. Nice, spicy, fruity finish.

January 8, 2017 - Surprisingly good, but took time to open up. The nose is 100% Coonawarra, more Cabernet like than Shiraz. The fruit is a little one dimensional with dark plum flavours dominating along with just a touch of raspberry. Secondary complexity includes old leather, cigar box, cured meats, graphite, tar and mixed spice. The oak is still unintegrated, delivering tannins that are dusty and slightly drying. The one redeeming feature is the finish, which is long and nicely peppered. Very nice, and I suspect it will improve with age.

November 1, 2016 - Decanted for hours and still had more to breathe. Great spice in here with a long long finish......will live for years to come.

June 26, 2016 - Plums, berries, black pepper, vanilla, lead pencil. Hint of savoury leatheriness. Barely flinched with 5 hours of air. Plenty of length, excellent balance, excellent Shiraz with many years ahead of it.
