Community Tasting Notes 12

April 11, 2021 - Nose - deep red fruits, some dark cherries, forest floor
Palate - medium bodied, rich texture of ripe strawberries, some raspberry notes, medium acidity with forest floor setting the backbone of the palate. A savoury finish. Tannins are very fine and plentiful, carrying the flavours to a long finish

    Great wine!

December 20, 2019 - Same as my earlier note. The purity of the fruit is what most distinguishes this wine. Not complex or deep, it's a beautiful wine for the present.

April 22, 2019 - Nice, easy drinking, light, low abv Morgon. A little too so; I thought it lacked stuffing and sap, but played well as a bistro table wine. Stony core, a bit austere, but with bright red fruits dancing around, some floral notes.

January 21, 2019 - Asparagus, thick, not right. Based on the other reviews this must be off.

December 10, 2018 - A beautiful example of Gamay in a lighter vein but not lacking seriousness. Bright red fruit, crunchy acidity and a hint of gamey Brett enliven this wine and make it a great pairing with smoked quail. It probably has the structure for another 5-10 years in the cellar but I don't know if it will get any better than it is today.
