    June 4, 2021 - great bottle

July 21, 2020 - PnP. A follow up to the bottle of four years ago; has aged extremely well. All the things one might look for/want are here if one takes enough time with this gem to properly discover. Acids have become more integrated, and the finish now is long++. Disgorged April 2012, with 12,5% abv. Should hold at this level for another 4-5 years, no problem. A treat. highly recommended

August 16, 2019 - 2nd and final bottle of this wine, last consumed 5 yrs ago.
Gorgeous aromas of honeysuckle, lemon rind, white pepper, chalk and warm bread crust.
On the palate, deeply refined flavors of citrus, chalk, aged lees, and spice, with zing and verve and everything in it's place.
A rather exciting Champagne to drink, this bottle will likely last through 2028+ but I am enjoying it now.

November 13, 2018 - This medium golden Champagne sports a brisk tiny bead and very impressive, floral-dominated aromatics. Jasmine and honeysuckle scents are accented with notes of tangerine, pear, bread dough, marzipan and nutmeg. Medium-bodied, crisply acidic and with flavors mirroring the nose, it delivers a vibrant mouthfeel throughout the solid middle palate and lengthy finish. Refined and complex, this is a sparkler that will provide pleasure for several more years. Drink now-2025.

    2011 Champagne Catalog, 6/1/2011 (link)

(Pierre Gimonnet et Fils "Spécial Club" Brut) ($88.00) 57% Cramant (many very old vines), 30% Chouilly (Mont Aigu, 50 yrs old) and 13% Cuis. Disgorged 8/10, and to be sold in late 2011 or when needed based on depletions of the ’04. It’s more buoyant, minerally and pointed than the more rugged Fleuron; potentially the best ’05 I’ve tasted, though with its strength I wonder if a smidgeon more RS is needed...
