August 3, 2016 - I tried this a few months ago at a tasting and wasn't that impressed.

So I opened this bottle and thought I'd give it another chance. It seemed like a totally different wine.

Vibrant purple with a subdued sweet fruit nose mixed with a slight pepperyness.

Pepper and light spice on the palate. Lots of primary fruit but restrained enough with plenty of savoury flavours showing.
    Tannins there but well balanced.

This should go quite a few more years yet but drinking really nicely now.
Not what I expected from a Barossa Shiraz

June 1, 2016 - Plenty of blackcurrant on the nose with some chocolate/coffee there too. Less fruit on the palate, some berry but more tobacco and tar with minimal if any oak. Not your "stereotypical" aussie shiraz. Bloody good. 90+

April 11, 2016 - Needs more time, but this is really good VFM.
