November 25, 2021 - Lean, light but assertive. At peak of maturity. This will fool a few for Burgundy or even Alto Piemonte.

February 24, 2020 - A bit advanced but I don't know if I dislike that. Dry, lean, red fruited and earthy. It drinks like twenty year old Burgundy. Fantastic, IMHO.

November 20, 2019 - Previously tasted at the winery five months ago and from bottle seven months ago and my notes were confirmed. Nose shows red cherry, earth/forest floor and more strawberry than raspberry. Just to the light side of medium bodied with the same red cherry note upfront. Mid-body retains depth, especially towards the back, but again, not as much as in prior bottles. There's a good burst of density, coupled with acidity, tart red cherry and strawberry. Finish continues to show a mix of mineral notes and integrated spices that linger for a good amount of time. While the density and definition might be a slight step down from earlier bottles (but still in line with what I tasted in June 2019), this wine has a number of years to go, especially under glass cork based on the fruit and structure. The integration and length on the finish are good indicators that this wine should continue to hold at this level for a bit longer.

September 13, 2019 - Popped and poured. Pleasant aroma of cloves and black pepper. Tart and spicy berry flavors up front, rich cherry and cassis in the finish. Young, vibrant, firm, some complexity. Worth revisiting in a few years.

June 15, 2019 - Tasted at the winery. Previously tasted from bottle only two months ago, but today's showing was a small step down. Nose continues to show red cherry, earth and light red raspberry. Close to medium bodied with the same flavor profile as my bottle from April: red cherry upfront, darker notes and some red raspberry through the finish and then lightly tart red cherry/strawberry towards the back. Finishes with integrated spices, earth notes and mineral qualities. As compared to my bottle from two months ago, this time, the wine showed a little less depth through the middle, a touch less overall complexity and the acidity and tart notes were slightly subdued. Possible that this bottle was open too long or not long enough and I may try my last from bottle in Fall 2019, rather than waiting until early 2020.
