October 25, 2020 - Still young, too bad my last bottle. Double decant, great fruit, still some tannin, but as good as many Napa Cabs at 2x the price.

March 6, 2020 - Much better than I thought it would be. I do not know where in Santa Cruz the grapes are sourced, but this tasted very much like a high end Napa Cab at 1/3 the price. Lots of blueberry, vanilla and subtle oak tones. Drinking well now but aging would certainly not hurt it.

May 28, 2018 - Quite acerbic at first, this has mellowed and opened with extensive airing. Nose is loaded with sweet black currants/creme de cassis and oak as well as noticeable ETOH. Medium-full bodied with notable amounts of acidity as well as some mountain tannin, that may not be of perfect quality. The high acid level as well as moderately high extract level will probably lead to a reasonably long life in the cellar, but comes across as slightly harsh now (at least without food). Nonetheless, this is an excellent example of mountain Cabernet. Drink 2022-2028? 91+
