March 19, 2023 - 19th of 24, opened 90 minutes, perfect cork and level, excellent bottle and little changed from last in April 21, showing mourvedre side to advantage, fine drive and nuance, now really elegant for CdP having shed the puppy fat of yesteryear, limited upside now, 10+ years. VF (18.5).

February 18, 2023 - The wine looks brick colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The 3l was great after 25 years.

February 11, 2023 - I don't have much knowledge of CDP. This was a beautiful wine. Decanted for an hour, but developed in the glass for another 2. Initially sweet and tart red fruits - currants and raspberries, red plums and then some herbs - tarragon and rosemary. As it opened, some notes of game meats followed by cranberry and more currants. A long finish. I'd guess this is at a peak, but it doesn't seem like it's going to fade away anytime soon.

December 27, 2022 - Very evolved. I've had lots of old Beaucastel but this didn't immediately align with that experience. Not to say it was unpleasant, just not quite as interesting as others I've had.
