March 29, 2019 - - Slow forming legs. It's balanced with a medium body. Round texture with a long finish - Excellent Cal-Ital Barbera

August 6, 2018 - - Ruby color with slow forming legs and aromas of cherry, blackberry, black pepper and smokey. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant, cherry and smokey with a medium/full body. Round texture with a long finish - Big, grabbing tannins. The wine needs time. Its delicious and full of Barbera fruit.

September 16, 2017 - 9/16/2017 SPC Class WK3: California: Medium garnet, moderate aroma intensity showing some age: notes of plum, oak. Dry, with medium body, lively acidity, and moderately weak, soft tannins. Flavors of cranberry-rasberry. Well balanced, and long finish.

May 27, 2017 - Impromptu Healdsburg Trip - Memorial Day Weekend (Healdsburg, CA): Med ruby.
Ripe dose of fruit and sun with ripe cherry, blackberry, blood orange, slight earth.
Palate is dry med plus body, high acid high tannins-papery and somewhat bitter.
Love the nose-the palate needs a bit of time to integrate. Fruit and earth.

April 8, 2017 - Deep, inky purple. Probably will appeal to fans of CA wine, as opposed to Italian barbera fans. A lot of warm plum and ripe black fruit on the nose and palate. Fairly full bodied with a nice tannic tug at the back end. Ultimately this has insufficent acid/brightness to offset the somewhat monolithic fruit and I switched to something else to finish off my meal. 14.6% abv
