November 2, 2017 - Kermit Lynch and Small Vineyards November Tasting at Wine Wizards (Wine Wizards Stockton): Really liked this wine. Light color but the nose is varietal and distinct with a meaty note, and ripe fruit. Solid balance and relative unadorned by oak this is a solid wine. Did not buy because of price but invite me over if you buy.

August 24, 2016 - Another brilliant bottle. Not reductive, but needs a quarter of an hour to open up and really sing. Lovely whole-cluster red berry, stemmy-spicy, mineral and fresh floral perfumes. Beautiful freshness and texture with abundant red-berry flavours and a nice light stemmy/earthy structure. Drinks like a charm - no need to keep as we want exactly what the wine brings tonight. A screaming bargain at that.

March 29, 2016 - Thrilling nose with beautiful fruit and earth. On the palate this is light and refreshing with a ton of Pinot purity, cassis, and a bit of stem character--in a good way. Delicious with a slight chill.

November 6, 2015 - Ultra-charming strawberry nose with playful gamay-like notes from cool-temperature whole-cluster fermentation. Great balance in the mouth, ultra-drinkable at 12%, with succulent fruit, ripe acidity and a light underlying stemmy structure. Hard to come up with any complaints at all - this is a home run for Catherine Montanet/Tom Thoden, and their best version tasted so far.
