August 14, 2022 - Still a big gutsy wine, needs a bit of warming in the current climate. Has many years life left.

May 15, 2022 - The oak has settled a bit but the wine is pretty generic in terms of ripe, heavy Barossa booze. Lots of wine making to get it to present this way. Some like it. This is the last vintage in my cellar and at $25 is a good backup for visitors.

July 30, 2021 - Popped and poured, consumed over 3-4 hours. Coming into its drinking window for me, soft n cuddly but balanced and a long finish. Has the creamed corn some Barossa Shiraz develops.

December 24, 2020 - Deep inky ruby, luscious dark berry drive with chocolate and oak. Definite acid and firm not over the top tannin. A big, balanced wine that represents what a typical, quality Barossa Shiraz is all about. Great drinking and a lot of life left.

April 6, 2020 - Dark ruby red, long on the pallet, full bodied and balanced. This is a great wine, another couple of years will benefit it.

    July 31, 2018 - Delicious
The wine looks inky colored. The body is full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes long.

July 28, 2017 - No mistaking this for anything other than Barossa Shiraz. Ripe flavours and generous oak. It's a very good expression of this well established style. A junior Elderton Command in many ways.

Drink this with food, it's not a wine to ponder on its own. Something big and blokey like rib eye on the bone.

June 23, 2017 - Still way too young. Brooding flavours on the nose - you can tell this will be immense once it opens up: plums, blackberries, peppery spice, dark chocolate notes. Firm tannins, a little rough around the edges on the palate. Long flavoursome finish. I'd give this at least 4-5 years to settle down.
