April 2, 2023 - Beautiful VA red. Nuanced and aged well. Pleny of rich dark red fruit, balanced tannins and nice floral gaminess.
June 19, 2021 - Red cherry, cranberry, black pepper. Drinking well now, but still has years ahead of it. Bright ruby. Bright acidity, smooth tannins. Reminds me of a cooler vintage Bordeaux.

February 3, 2019 - Sommelier Appreciation Dinner 2019 (The Brown Residence): Medium expressive nose displaying blackberry, blueberry and a hint of cherry, a bit Cab Franc like green and earth. Good concentration, silky, good acidity and mineral, and a medium long cassis driven finish with a hint of green at the end. Although well made, it lacks the excitement for my palate. The guest of honor, Andy Myers like the wine and believe in the people who are involved. I wish I like it more.
November 16, 2017 - Full bodied left bank Bordeaux style blend. Great right out of the bottle, but develops and opens up after about an hour decant.

July 10, 2016 - Full bodied cab blend that has rich dark berry fruit and very active tannins at this wine's youth. After a four hour decant, it calms down a bit but am certain in four to five years this will be in prime time to drink. You still get cassis and tangy dark chocolate secondary flavors. Nice to see (and taste) Virginia can make a real quality red blend wine that hangs with the quality of Napa red wines.
