Community Tasting Notes 4

September 23, 2018 - Very clean Barolo for early drinking. After tasting several different offerings across multiple vintages, I’ve found that I’m just not a fan of this producer. There is a lot of new oak, and the complete lack of any sediment makes me think that it has been heavily filtered. It has some tar and cherry flavors and the tannins have been softened by the oak, but it lacks the charm and complexity of good Barolo.

That said, it was competently made and if you like modern styled Barolo, this is ready to go now.

February 12, 2017 - Expect this to get better with age but certainly not a mid 90 point Barolo. Nice. Not great.

January 31, 2017 - Needs a bit of time, but lovely.
