June 3, 2020 - On the approach path of its final run. Good, certainly mature, with a fair amount to admire now. Drink up now or in the next few years; acids seem waning. 9,5% abv. recommended

April 30, 2014 - A rich Kabinett for Karthauserhof. Has some bass notes coming through to complement the peach, red currant, and lime. Will probably still be drinking well at 15+ years old.

November 17, 2013 - PnP, served non-blind. Still remarkably fresh. Pale straw, bright. Engaging aromas of peach, stone, melon rind, ripe apple, spices. Medium-bodied, with vibrant acids and soft, inviting orchard and creamy stone fruits. This has evolved, and is in its sweet spot now and for several more years. Good typicity, with sweetness in check. Medium+ persistence, delicious, clean flavors. 9,5% abv, drink thru 2019. recommended

Held since release, cork soaked 2/3. Final bottle in next 3-5 years

July 3, 2013 - One of the better 2005 kabinetts to date. Surprisingly delicious and somewhat viscous full carry through on the tongue, well balanced with medium citrusy acid backbone and a nice softer palate of orange zest, lemony flowers, cumquat(less pronounced)--overall a delight.
Second day, held its own an absolutely scrumptious

November 23, 2011 - No petrol notes in mine yet. Drinks as fresh as did in 2006. Lovely wine. My next/final bottle will go at least 5-6 years. 2005ers are keepers.

April 8, 2011 - Fantastic wine drinking very well. Got the rubber, petrol, ripe citrus with honey and a decent acidic kick to keep it fresh. Love it.

September 21, 2010 - Opens with a nose of honeyed citrus and tropical, moving to minerals and petrol with some airtime. Red apple and mango notes follow through to the medium bodied palate. I'm not sure this has the acidity for extended cellaring, besides, it's drinking too well now that you should need to wait. I'm pretty certain my only remaining bottle will see 2013 at the latest. Approx $22, drink thru 2016, 9,5% abv.
