    November 2, 2016 - nice old barbaresco but well past prime, color was browning but age appropriate, palate was alive and had some zippy structure -- good acidity, tannins were resolved, palate was spice and after about 90 minutes in decanter got some smoke, it seemed best as we finished it around hour three but even then it only had a hint of fruit, with more red fruit to balance the structure and secondary elements it could have been superb
