July 19, 2023 - Decanted for 20 minutes based on my previous TN of 6/6. Not as pleasant a showing for this bottle as the red fruit never came forward and the wine was dominated by the earthy black tea notes, along with some spice. The second glass - with additional air - was no better than the first.

June 6, 2023 - Slo-oxed for 10 minutes, but better after 30 minutes as the fruit comes forward as the black tea element reduces. Medium violet in color. Some bright red and dark red fruit on the nose. These follow on to the medium bodied palate along with some spice, earth notes, black tea and minerality. The acidity is juicy but balancing. Could hold for another couple of years.

December 30, 2021 - Big hit at dinner party. Cranberry and mandarin orange zest. Long finish. Seems to be at peak.

October 28, 2018 - Not great. Can’t decide if perhaps a bit corked, or if just a whole lotta Pinot funk. Either way, the nose is just too much and takes away from the experience. Some dark fruits with a slightly bitter finish once get past the nose. A glass each is about all we could handle before moving on...

September 27, 2017 - 750ml; PnP; This wine was open from the go with a big red fruited nose showing cherry and strawberry. Tastes were similar with the addition of a bit of cinnamon spice and moderate acidity. Almost expected a bit of over extraction and sweetness but this was very nice all together - a bit of a nice surprise.
