  August 5, 2020 - Powerful notes of cherries, red fruits and candy on the nose.
  Tastes pretty much the same, with added notes of cola and licorice.
  
  I think this wine is in a good spot now, the tannins are well integrated and matches the level of acidity. There are some hints of aging, in a positive way, and I don't think there's much to be gained from further cellaring.
  
  Over all a sharp and focused wine, not to big.

  March 4, 2018 - PnP, but the wine opened up in the glass during the meal, so a quick decant will help. Not as full in the mouth as we thought it would be, with nice red fruit and acidity, but lacking anything that would set it apart from so many other Sangiovese based or blended wines. A respected producer; a good wine; but a poor QPR at $26 on sale. Should hold for several years, and maybe(?) improve.

  September 10, 2017 - Nice cherry cola notes on the nose after this opened up a bit. Some tea on the nose as well. Well balanced acidity and tannins with a long finish. After this opened up for about an hour it really round out nicely.
