March 1, 2015 - Cork was in bad shape. Drinkable but flawed.

July 13, 2014 - A bit funky at first. Thought it was over the hill. Gained balance with some time. Smooth medium depth with decent fruit. Very nice.

July 17, 2013 - The wine didn't open up like other people mentioned. It could have been a lot better. It was kind of flat.

February 16, 2012 - Decanted for about 1.5 hours and had with a series of meals over three days. Inky purple color, lots of sediment. Initially, a musty, barnyard nose followed by leather and coffee flavors, robust mouth-puckering tannins--- not altogether pleasing. Improved considerably by the second day after must blew off, revealing a firm, nicely balanced full bodied rustic blend reminiscent of a young Rioja. Still good by third day. If you drink it now, decant for a day. Could easily keep another few years.

January 8, 2011 - Takes a few minutes to open but when it does this Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon Bordeaux exhibits aromas of oaky vanilla and blackberry. Typical French earthiness on the palate with a finish of dark bitter chocolate. A bit of a pleasant surprise for a $20 bottle of wine.
