March 29, 2024 - PnP and drank over 4 hours. The nose became much more expressive but the flavor softened, maybe faded a bit.
Fantastic bottle. Clearly identifiable Neri, weighty but with much more elegance than their other offerings. Gorgeous darker color. Violets, spice, red/black fruit. Excellent length
Strikes me as ready enough to drink

August 16, 2023 - Wow! Super concentrated with huge nose of black fruits, char meat, oak, full bodied with fine tannins & layers of depth, perfect with the grilled lamb cutlets, young & years left to being ready

June 29, 2023 - Decanted for 2 hours. This is an exceptional Brunello and the most complex wine I've ever tasted. Upon opening, the aromas hit you in the face with black cherries, spices, dark shoe polish, and forest floor. This is a powerful and full-bodied wine on the palate with layers of ripe purple berries, cinnamon, wet stones, and pipe tobacco. The oak is finessed with hints of menthol and a nice balance of acidity to make this finish go on for days and days. I'm still thinking about it two weeks later. This is not a wine to take lightly and would be best paired with rich Duck or Lamb to tame full-bodied Brunello. This will age beautifully for decades. 97

May 20, 2023 - I get so sentimental when I see how perfect perfection can be

September 18, 2022 - Tasted in a Casanova di Neri 2010 horizontal and followed over two days. A stupendous wine, with gorgeous aromatics from the initial pop.

This has certainly seen some oak, but it’s subtler than the Tenuta Nuova from the same vintage. This has rose petal, cinnamon, fine shoe polish, star anise. Tall and still well structured, with firm acidity, it has a long time to develop in bottle and will clearly outlive the white label. I think the TN will actually live a bit longer, but hit a lower peak.
