September 25, 2020 - SLDS - PR GC: Blackberry, blueberry, cherry and tar. Rich smoky fruit profile on the palate. Sweet and savoury in a really nice way. More time left here, but no harm at all in approaching it now.

December 22, 2014 - Weekly tasting group #148; A mixed set of white and red wines. (@ DJ): Concentrated bouquet with black forest fruits, licorice, tea, coffee and some vanilla. On the palate currants, earth, autumn and chocolate. Almost reductive with soft acidity and completely melted tannin. Everything is in harmony in this mouth filling wine. And although it was probably even a little bit more interesting 1 or 2 years ago, it is still a great pleasure. I scored it 91 for tonight.

October 14, 2011 - Mature, balanced, solid effort from a forward vintage that was much more favored in America than in Italy where the 1999 and 2001 vintages were preferred. This was a magnum. Very flavorful with a long finish. Delightful.
