They stayed together in the glass over the course of the meal, retaining acidity and fruit. No poor bottles were detected prior to evening.
February 24, 2024 - Nose leaps from the glass with orchard and tropical fruit, mineral, honey and matchstick. The palate bursts with bright, vibrant fruit that is playfully sweet and saline. At peak.
January 4, 2024 - Shiny greenish-gold. Lemon oil, green apple, mandarin peel, hazelnut, almond, oyster shell, breakfast waffles, honeysuckle, faint smoke and minerality. Medium-full bodied, medium-high acidity, medium alcohol, and very long finish. Lots of tension on the palate with concentrated fruits, and superb structure. Complex, elegant and layered.
Wine was youthful and flavors had only begun to emerge. It was difficult to taste because I couldn't resist to swallow as soon as I sipped it. Fabulous to enjoy now for the youthful fruit forward style, or to cellar it another 5-10 years for more mature style.
December 15, 2023 - Waxy, rich in fruit, with a lovely puff of gun smoke. Good now but it needs a strong amount of air. Suggest not serving it PnP.
December 12, 2023 - Salon Ficofi Paris walkabout tasting and dinner, no detailed tasting notes. From Jero, this was really fresh, creamy, flinty, wonderful.
November 9, 2023 - Gorgeous and as good as Maltroie gets. Round and plush fruit that has orchard, tropical and floral notes. Excellent buoyancy and lift into the long, sweet finish. In the middle of a peak window.

June 5, 2023 - I agree with Jeremy Holmes' recent note. This serious wine from a serious grower in an excellent vintage is very youthful. Promise is evident and it opened up in the glass but really needs time to show at its best. Significantly expensive now of course - and alas. 91 could rise with time.
March 27, 2023 - This wine has serious build and took a while to crack open in the glass. There are mineral reduction notes along with lemon and dense peach fruits. It is rich and powerful and beautifully proportioned. The finish is chalky, chewy and very long. Still extremely youthful.
March 9, 2023 - WINE COM J.N.Delicious on palate (nose slightly dusty initially). Openeed well over time. Generous and absolutely a pointe. Good acidic backbone and goes very well with food. Drinking from now through to '26
