November 27, 2021 - PnP. An absolute beauty. I must confess I am not a big fan of Bordeaux, but an carefully aged Margaux is as good as a 1st growth can be. Sure a 91 lacks the grand structure or complexity but it's never a flat wine. The tamed but still vibrant fruits and vivid acidity was telling me that it still has a lot to give. Wonderful!

September 18, 2021 - Still dark. Mushrooms, fruit. More fruit with time. Just a bit complex. Developes length with air. Stays long on the palate. Great balance. Interesting and pleasurable.

February 27, 2021 - An ethereal nose with layers and layers of dried red fruit, earthy notes, espresso and leather. Still so fresh, rich and elegant. Impeccably balanced and utterly delicious

April 21, 2018 - Very nice showing in a difficult vintage . Blueberries, cassis, floral notes, earlgrey tea, leather, wet autum leaves, pencil shavings and tobacco leaves. A little light on the palate but all in all a very good bottle of wine. Can’t help being impressed by this effort from Chateau Margeaux in what is being considered a bad vintage.

December 3, 2016 - Opened and decanted for 1 hour before serving. Light nose, and offered some complexity but thin overall. Faded out after 1. 5 hours. Quite disappointed given Margaux but on weak year.
