Community Tasting Notes 2

January 5, 2015 - Weekly tasting group #150; New Year's tasting (A mixed set.) (@ My place): Beautiful and tertiary bouquet with tea, earth and licorice. On the palate tobacco, leather, spiciness, some red fruits, good acidity, soft and melted but still alive tannin. A beautiful classical and mature Bordeaux.

December 14, 2012 - I was shocked. For a third label in an off year this was way beyond expectation. Clearly right bank Bordeaux (or 80s Napa) if blind. Smooth. Some sweet Oak, blackberries, black currant and cassis. Dried herbs. A wonderful surprise.
