October 19, 2023 - Great! Developing for the better, now starting with secondary and tertiary notes. Loved it. Will last another 5 years and maybe more

October 7, 2022 - Gorgeously mineral. Lime, lime zest. Definite flint. Salty. Long. Deliciously mouthwatering acidity.

    September 17, 2022 - my wotn
other notes spoke of this fading fast, but for us fragile beautiful fruit mixed with a little tartness, a little salinity and held together beautifully.
ok ,there were 9 of us so the bottle went quickly and we did not give it the chance to fade

August 25, 2021 - Chassange - Northside: A subdued and tiring bottle, particularly next to the excellent and vibrant 2010 side-by-side. While the wine has good richness and depth with a nice mineral and orchard fruit interplay, it lacks the vibrance and freshness you'd expect from 2014.

August 25, 2021 - Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Tasting #1 (Northside / Montrachet-adjacent) (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): Started out nicely bright, but this aged quickly before our eyes, clearly losing steam over 20+ minutes in glass. Almost as good as the wonderful 2010 Chaumées when poured, this was the least interesting of the flight when finished.

June 2, 2021 - Complex nose, with grilled pineapple, toasted nuts, a touch of reduction and a hint of cream. Satisfying creamy texture to match the nose - it literally feels good in the mouth - and quite a bit of bitterness too; in fact, it's almost tannic - lots of dry extract? Finally, a really long lemon-curdy finish, which accentuates the fruit again.

Philippe's relatively opulent style has worked well with the linear, taut 2014 vintage and has produced a superbly balanced wine. Very delicious, but a bit MOR to be truly great?

Day 2 (second half of bottle) and the wine has coelesced nicely, with some additional aromatic complexity and a greater sense of weight. Very good wine.

March 24, 2021 - 1 hour upon opening serving into 薄はり葡萄酒器 (“Leaf” day): Pale golden to the eyes.

Ripe citrus fruits like lemons, stone fruits like apricots and some hints of exotic fruits like mangos, florals, a lot of well integrated oak.

Quite highly ripe and powerful but supposedly more about fruits than. Good persistent finish.

November 3, 2020 - After an hour open to air, this is really singing. Crisp apple, meyer lemon, pineapple with soft hints of spice and ginger. Medium to long finish. Worth the $75 tariff. Unfortunately, my last bottle. Has a few years ahead of it, but drinking beautifully now with some air. 2014 was a very good year!

October 3, 2020 - What wonderful clarity and purity of expression in this wine. Chassagne-Montrachet is not my preferred white Burgundy style (it is often just a little too full bodied), but this particular wine has wonderfully subtle acidity to balance the toast flavour and the green banana and pawpaw.

A testimony to this new generation of winemakers in Burgundy and their perfectionist standards, and possibly also to the 2014 vintage that is, indeed, as great as they say it is.
