December 26, 2009 - Faded fruit but unspoiled and thoroughly enjoyable. Fabulous nose (easily 91 alone). Cherry, a little menthol, sticks.

August 9, 2008 - a follow up to the previous 1987 Zin for our pizza night. This one had great color. I found the depth of the wine, or I should say weight, to be a little light. I found the other Lytton Springs to be the preferred wine, but several of the other people tasting the wines found this wine to be better. All in all, another great pizza night at our house.

Just beautiful zinfandel with a Burgundian texture worthy of a high end wine.
Great complexity: peeper, spices, chocolate to go with the red berries.
Very long and complex finish. just great. -

June 27, 1989 - Client Lunch Tasting of 4 red wines.
Sweet, zinfandel nose, deep purple color, intense zinfandel in the mouth, pleasant aftertaste.
