December 28, 2021 - Delicious black fruit flavors and more spice than the previous night's wine (2015 Keplinger Cab.) A bit rustic with some baking spice/tar but they balance beautifully with blackberries and black raspberries. I got into Relic for their Petite Sirah and have grown to appreciate their cabs.

August 1, 2021 - Drinking fantastic right now. I'm going to hold onto our last bottle for a few years to see how it ages. Classic Relic style and great Cabernet expression.

May 23, 2019 - I’m a big fan of Quivet’s Kenefick Ranch cab so I decided to give this cab a shot in light of the source - 94% Kenefick Ranch and 6% Corona Vineyard. Dark purple fruit - blackberry, currants, dark raspberry, and dark cherry. Really smooth mid-palate coupled with solid depth/concentration and a nice purity - medium plus body. Nice flavors of dark berries, baking spices/licorice, and a mineral/graphite component. Fairly long finish. Popped/poured but drank out of a decanter for a couple hours. Improved with time and took around two hours to really open-up. A nice wine - in my opinion in line with the 94 rating from Parker and WS. 100% cab.

August 29, 2018 - Deep ruby color. Black currant, cassis and raspberry provides a lovely black/red fruit component while toast and vanilla show off the 100% new oak treatment. Licorice and baking spice provide a solid depth to this wine. Medium+ body with slightly astringent tannins. Medium acid with a medium finish. A nice wine that may benefit from a few more years in bottle to work out its tannins rough edges.

March 15, 2018 - From 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, once past the obvious heavy vanilla tones of new oak, you find layers of fat, ripe, dark, sweet, juicy fruits, smoke, licorice and dark chocolate. With it decadent textures, the wine feels as good as it tastes!
