November 3, 2015 - Megamoon Part V: Mendoza (Argentina); 11/1/2015-11/3/2015 (Park Hyatt Mendoza, Lujan de Cayo, Uco Valley): Probably my favorite of the Zuccardi tasting. This is a blend of Malbecs from Altamira in an effort to showcase the appellation (which is where the new Zuccardi winery is being built). I get plum and again the grape, rocky in that pure mineral way, some tannin to support. Would be interesting to do a horizontal with these wines. Good way to understand the different terroirs given how very little the Zuccardi wine making process interferes with the grapes.
