July 31, 2019 - Yeah, maybe Mercurey doesn't hold up for 26 years. This has lost most of its fruit and while not vinegary it is dominated by bitter drying tannins. Drinkable with food but not much enjoyment here.

November 24, 2012 - Funky, funky nose with bramble berry, roasted game, hay, and cherry. Great, smooth entry with lots of sweet, deep cherry and cocoa. The finish lasts for at least 30s and is filled with chocolate covered raisins and figs. You can taste the decades and it's a pretty cool experience. You have to like funky, old burgundy though.

December 5, 2009 - burnt rubber, sasparilla, decent, but not great, Faiveley style, a little disappointing.
