February 1, 2023 - Pretty tasty from the getgo (PNP) to day 3 (wife didn't want to have any so I had a glass and a half for after dinner each night). I'd say plenty of life left but drinking so nicely now, why wait?

Nose still has juicy black fruit aromas with cigar and cedar. Blackberry, cassis profile. Well balanced. Even the oak, which I would figure to be pretty pronounced early, seems well integrated. Perfect amount of acid for me, which is to say it's got some tart without being called bright.

October 20, 2021 - Unfortunately I can’t remember anything other than it was terrific.
    Ugh…

August 13, 2019 - Red fruit and a touch of green, to be honest. Interesting stuff.

May 8, 2019 - At Steakhouse 85 in New Brunswick we pnp'd. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was berries, dark plums, wood and mocha. A moderate to long finish.

December 11, 2018 - Cigar box and black cherry nose augmented by black raspberry and overripe plum palate. Alcohol burn on the finish feels higher than 14.8%. Sadly, the fruit dissipates on day two, leaving only the burn.

October 15, 2018 - Drank over two nights (poured Argon on top after first night).

Nice wine (it always is) but I think I prefer the 2012 vintage over the 2013. Balanced, with long finish.

August 18, 2018 - We were introduced to this wine at a Brazilian steakhouse in Troy, Mich. The consensus across reviews on CT as well as other sites seems to be exactly what we thought...

It was smoooooth, fruity, pert'near delicious; downright friendly. It offered some complexity as its flavor profile changed over the night. Clove, berry, spice, fruit. A superbly balanced vin. Imagine... a wine named SYMMETRY being a harmonious, proportioned, balanced joy. Nothing offensive, just a cohesive, inviting juice.

A definite fruit forward, full bodied opaque red blend, it reminded us of Ilatraia Brancaia in the way it drank like a highly refined, polished beverage. Like the winemaker was weaving together silks...

One other really impressive thing was its versatility... she had a very goldened salmon, while he enjoyed lots of different beef cuts, and the bottle held up to each, without overwhelming any.

We liked it enough that after we emptied the first bottle, we bought a second one,... left it sealed, and brought it home for the cellar.

Mark1NPT's 2017 note was particularly relevent for us, as we had no real time to 'open' it, as we were at a busy restaurant after the Woodward car cruise, but we swirled- a lot! We bought the cellar bottle to give us our multi-hour aeration version of the vin, half a decade from now...

We'll investigate in another five years, at its decade mark.

Really looking forward to this one!
