    April 20, 2024 - Decanted 90 min. Lovely entry level Barolo. Red cherry, earth and tar come through on the nose. The palate is medium to full bodied, but shows that wonderful Roagna balance, acidity. This doesn’t have the depth of the single vineyard cuvees but if you like the Roagna style is a reasonably priced entry point.

    April 14, 2024 - Nice solid barolo. This is miles better than the 2009 Barolo so the scoring is a little off on CellarTracker for these two wines when drunk together

    August 24, 2023 - First time with this grower.
    Opened and poured a glass, the rest into a decanter.
    Pure, clear cherry red colour, dripping with legs.
    Slightly muted nose at first then spice and flowers emerge.
    I don't often drink Nebbiolo so this has been a pleasant surprise.
    Better with food. I happened to have some pork rind left over from yesterday's pork chop, that I whacked in a hot oven to puff and crisp up. Paired surprisingly well with this as a snack.
    Not too much on the palate fruit wise at first but after an hour or two, sweet cherry emerges and with a whiff of autumn on the nose.
    Smooth with well integrated tannins and a balanced acidity.
    Drinking perfectly well now. No idea if it will get better, I'm only an amateur.
    If I had another bottle and I was drinking it this year, I would decant for an hour or so merely to open it up.

    May 31, 2023 - Dekantert. Tvilsom nese, matt munn. Roer seg noe ned fra glass 3. Ikke bra dag 2, oksydert? Nei, noe annet.

    December 30, 2022 - Dag 1 Modne kirsebær, jordbær. Støv. Ikke så dominerende taniner (men til sopprisotto) Litt balasmiske noter men ikke mye utviklingsaromaer. Dag 2: Frukten er litt borte. Mer tydelige taniner nå uten perfekt matmatch. Ikke så veldig komplisert vin. Føler ikke at den har utviklet seg til det bedre fra forrige flaske, heller tvert i mot. Men holder sikkert mange år enda.

    September 5, 2021 - Very aromatic on opening. Double decanted 2 hours. Still aromatic in the glass. Savoury on P. Tannic. Not long or complex. Has Roagna character and honesty about it.

    August 19, 2021 - Ikke dekantert. Noe skuffende sett i forhold til årgangen. Vagt under hva som bør forventes. Noe kjemisk nese ved åpning. Blåser bort til slutt. Langt bedre dag 2, etter vakum og kjøleskap.
