March 24, 2024 - Had this wine with Sue, both with food and solo. Notes of bright, red fruit - cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, good acidity and some herbs on the finish.

March 23, 2024 - These were delicious, with bright, red fruit - cherry, cranberry, pomegranate, good acidity and some herbs on the finish. Also good with Indian food: cumin, coriander, ginger, tumeric.
They are almost all gone now. -

October 22, 2018 - This sweet and grainy Pinot tastes like a Kosta Browne RRV with some stems thrown in - it's not a complete disaster, but it's disjointed - and very sugary. Cherry red in color, medium in body, aromas of cranberry, red licorice, and rock candy. Tastes of fruit cake, candied walnuts, roasted almonds, and burnt toast, with a sweet yet herbal finish that continued to taste somewhat strange over several hours. 14.5% alcohol.
Like some kind of B student who wants to major in calculus and philosophy, this wine really doesn't know what it wants to be: it's fruity; it's stemmy; and it doesn't work that well. I tasted this on the same night as a 2014 Sea Smoke Ten and 2014 Williams Selyem Westside, which combined to make this wine seem loud and clunky, kind of like a tambourine at a string quartet. Maybe wait to open this until 2019, and hope for the best. -

March 5, 2017 - 2 hour decant. Soft tannins, full of cherries and red fruit, with an undertone of mushrooms. interesting and delicious. held up on day 2.

October 23, 2016 - Similar to prior experience. This time it got about 2 hours of slow ox before we drank it up. And it disappeared quickly. Went great with grilled lamb chops.
Should have read my prior note (doh!) and did a bit more of a scientific tasting . . . whoops. Oh well. Thoroughly enjoyed again.
