December 30, 2023 - I found this wine lighter than normal zin - not flawed in any sense, just a delicate zin that had all characteristics, just in an elegant manner.

September 6, 2022 - I agree with the two prior notes that this is structure with no fruit. I'm a gigantic bedrock fan, it encompasses the largest portion of my cellar. This just isn't up to their par though. Nice color, decent but muted nose, tannin and acid but no fruit on the palate.

April 7, 2021 - This is a good wine. Deep purple. This isn't a 'fruit-bomb' but has intense flavor, crisp minerals and good acidity, blackberry skins, touch of fennel seed, great with bolognese

December 24, 2020 - I agree with MillerRoad below. It's 5 years to the day since it arrived. No fruit. No flavor. Tannins. I'm guessing that a Josh, Cupcake, or Yellowtail drinker would chug this without a problem; but for me > I wasn't happy with the 2014 Bedrock Kirschenmann. I drank this tonight with brisket from Joe's KC BBQ. Someone on Wineberserkers said the wine wasn't anything special. I agree. The color wasn't the full grape color you'd expect. It was somewhat lighter than normal. This wine had a pleasant nose, but wasn't enjoyable to drink. I'm glad I drank this solo, and not in a group. Drink up and/or have another bottle ready. I hope this will improve tomorrow, but I'm not optimistic. Day 2 > no change.

  • MillerRoad Does not like this wine:

December 17, 2020 - I don't think this wine is corked, but it just isn't good. The bottom has completely fallen out. It's just structure and no fruit. Started off earthy, almost dirty tasting. No spice, no pepper, no fruit. Just fermented grape juice. It's not "bad" nor undrinkable, it's just not pleasurable. I saw another review from someone recently that said it was past prime and to drink up. I think he was correct. I'm willing to concede that this may just be a bad bottle. I only post this note because I had to post a review on it somewhere else, and so an easy cut-paste.
