Still in a good place, petrol, green apple, bees wax/pollen, Asian poached pear.
Acidity still there. Best with food.
April 5, 2022 - Drank this aged, so it had some petrol notes on the nose. Lots of green notes of green apple, green melon, maybe even cucumber? This is a dry riesling with good acidity.
May 11, 2021 - ACOHEN nailed the notes but I had the score just a tad lower. A little age on this now with a pleasant nose and it improved with air. Loved this wine. My lone bottle sadly. Very pleasant wine overall
November 9, 2020 - Nice off dry riesling with lots of asian pear, acidity and crisp finish
August 18, 2020 - excellent domestic riesling drinking at peak. Crisp, dry citrus fruits with a hint of honey on the long finish. Perfectly balanced with plenty of acidity. Absolutley delicious on a hot summer day! Drink now and over the next year or so.
March 16, 2020 - Dry, crisp, green apple, citrus. Nicely balanced with mouth watering acid. Wonderful effort from CA. Chris and Morgan continue to amaze me. Like sunshine in a bottle, @ $18, paired surprisingly well with corned beef and cabbage. A difficult meal to wine pair with the salt and spices. But this riesling was perfect.
January 22, 2020 - Drinking very well right now as a PnP. Fresh green apple, pear, lichee, petrol on the tail end with bright crisp acidity to make this mouth watering. This is dry, but with a hint of sweetness on the finish so Kabinett like.
November 9, 2019 - Definitely off-dry. Delicious with spicy shrimp fried rice.
August 15, 2019 - Absolutely lovely. Juicy, with perhaps a kiss of residual sugar. A fine effort by the guys at Bedrock!
July 25, 2019 - OK, I should have given this a bit more time on the last bottle. As the wine comes up to temperature, classic honeyed aromas of Riesling peek out. This is a juicy, fruity California Riesling.
