October 30, 2023 - Much improved since the bottle I opened in 2019. Very enjoyable — hard to put it down! Subtle yet distinct Amador palette. Still somewhat tannic yet very well balanced. Mouthfeel has a bit of thinness, which in this case adds to its appeal, as it is not heavy. It may have years to go. But for those with more in the cellar — currently 35% of bottles on CT are still in the cellar — now is a good time to pop it open and enjoy it.

November 5, 2022 - Pnp tonight. Brambly, rose, red muted tart raspberry, very vegetal which I liked quite a lot. Very different less fruit forward than many other Bedrock Zin field blends. Which made for a super interesting bottle.

October 26, 2022 - I liked this the last time I had it nearly two years ago, and it's even better now. Fully integrated and a wonderful mix of deep Amador fruit, but with the deft-hand and structure that Morgan brings to all of his wines. I really felt like this wine showed true to its Amador roots, but was made in a more balanced and almost restrained style that was very a treat to drink. Drink now and over the next couple years.

August 11, 2022 - PnP, consumed over 2 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium ruby with slight edge bricking - starting to show it's age. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with aromas of cranberry, strawberry, bramble, black pepper, and vanilla. Palate: Dry, medium acid and tannin, medium+ body, medium intensity, 14.5% abv with flavors of cranberry, strawberry, and spice with a medium+ finish. Overall not your typical Cali Zin, pale in appearance and somewhat tame in terms of alcohol and intensity. Just starting to show it's age, likely near peak. Drink now or over next 2 years.
