April 16, 2022 - Stewed plum, sweet tobacco, pencil eraser, black olive, hoisin sauce and dry potting soil. Fullish body, low acid, soft tannin and a little dull.
Typical, OK warm weather red blend from this part of Sonoma. Nothing wrong but nothing special either. I think I would have liked it a little better closer to release but not much.
December 24, 2021 - Pop and pour.
Dark purple.
Throw some sediment (schmootz).
VA on the nose. Nail polish remover.
Prunes, raisins and plums. Over ripe fruit with a flat fruit note.
Lacks vibrancy.
Stewed fruits.
Bought at release and stored at 55F.
Disappointing.
December 20, 2021 - Nice. Fairly light, but holding up well. Had alongside a well regarded Chateauneuf, and I preferred the Bedrock. Drink within the next two years.
August 26, 2021 - Simply great drinking now.
August 4, 2021 - Great blend with good fruit, complexity and balance.
September 19, 2020 - RichEB1 review is spot-on. Drinking well now. Smooth. MTP has said this blend has an early drinking window.
August 28, 2020 - Drinking really well right now! Always one of my favorite early drinkers and this vintage is no different. Dusty dark fruits, rasberry, spice, and just the right amount of acidity. No rush but feel free to pop one while you wait for some of the other single Vineyard offerings to age further
May 29, 2020 - Delicious. Drank over two days with the first being the better. Lots of dark red and dark fruit flavors on a sweet plum-like nose. Very pure with an excellent mouthfeel. Still seems like it has many good years ahead of it.
December 13, 2019 - Big but smooth after 60 minute decant. Dark fruit. Lovely.
August 26, 2019 - Dark color; Deep; Rich
