December 30, 2018 - Nice, stylish but somewhat lacking in power and length. Did not stand up to apple tart but still enjoyable.

December 3, 2018 - Light colored, honey and apricot.

October 5, 2018 - I’ve always thought 2005 was a light vintage for Sauternes and this wine doesn’t dispute that. Peach and tropical fruits on display. Lacks depth and acidity to make this a more compelling effort. Medium long finish. Ok but not worth the price of admission.

July 21, 2018 - 4th Saturday Group: Global Cabernet Sauvignon (Our house): From 750ml. Pineapple and orange notes. Nice texture with flavors of tropical fruit, ripe stone fruit and citrus with balancing acidity. Finishes with good length. Getting better as it ages.

(Chateau Lafaurie-Peyraguey (Sauternes)) This is polished and honeyed on the nose, with lots of rôti fruit and some expressive botrytis notes coming in at the edges as well. It has a very elegant composition nevertheless, despite the very broad and fleshy sweetness which betrays the warmth of the vintage. Ultimately this has a good grippy style, substantial and rich, weighty even, all these characteristics off-set by a great, tingling acidity. An impressive wine.
