December 10, 2020 - Violet note, too much and not pleasant like a cheap perfume. Fruity and full body, if not for the note quite enjoyable.

May 23, 2015 - Intense, opaque core with medium ruby-garnet rim. Intense developed nose with plenty of black cherries, anise, oak and some cedar.

Intense, with fresh acidity, and a high level of soft, large tannins, medium alcohol and intense fruit flavours. Black cherry, anise and cedar and a long, velvety complex finish.

Drink now, not improving. Will last a few more years though.

March 14, 2011 - Incredible deep inky color for 10 year old. Wonderful, meaty nose with hints of mint. Fruity and well balanced on taste. Very nice

May 14, 2007 - Poured with BBQ pork spare ribs and honey baked beans. Color is deep purple, verging to black. Pretty tight for the first two hours, and I didn't think the nose really ever came around. Once it had opening up, though, the palate showed rich dark fruits, some cassis, and good depth. Not bad at all for the price.

May 20, 2006 - Decanter Great Italian Fine Wine Encounter (The Landmark Hotel, London NW1): Made from 50% Sangiovese, 25% Cab Sav and 25% Merlot this wine is aged in used French oak for 12 months. Deep purple, almost black in colour. The nose shows minty characters. On the palate I found a deep, rich wine with well structured tannins and hints of eucalyptus. Very nice.
