January 26, 2023 - This continues to drink well, a nice middle ground between some of the huge syrahs and the leaner, acidic ones. Neither too big nor too small, but just right

February 25, 2022 - High acidity, blue and red fruits, mellows out on the finish. Definitely CA syrah, but not overly ripe.

December 8, 2019 - drinking well on a pop and pour. aromatically expressive, blue fruits and some savory characteristics...very nice balance. The tannins came to the fore after being open 3 or 4 hours.

September 25, 2018 - Similar notes hold true. This showed less depth however.

May 14, 2018 - Great nose of forest floor, dark berries, and briny sea fog. This wine has such beautiful balance and depth. Savory notes intermingle with the fruit cohesively.

November 1, 2017 - Deep purplish ruby red. Lovely 'Côte Rôtie' styled nose with black olives, smoke, dark floral notes and black currants. More floral notes as it breathes. Well rounded and spicy on the palate with medium tannins (6/10) and medium bodied. Layered palate with notes of black olives, bacon fat, pepper, dark spices and minerality. Long and lingering finish with balanced acidity. Drink till 2024.

July 18, 2017 - consumed over two nights. About the same each night. Excellent cooler Climate Syrah. Purple in color. The nose has black raspberries, black pepper, slight leather and hints of camphor. On the palate, great juicy texture. deep black raspberry fruit. Depth. It unwinds nicely in the glass. Great with food. Long finish. Great value as well.

January 26, 2017 - A very pretty wine. Black raspberry and black cherry. Low tannins. Acidity in balance. A little iron and meatiness, but the fruit outpaces everything else. Drinking very well right now.

January 22, 2017 - Enjoyed this over several nights and it didn't disappoint. This needs time to open and rewards you with big fruit, some earth and definitely goes great with food. More classically structured cali Syrah than is fashionable now. I'll be buying this again.
