Community Tasting Notes 9

October 7, 2023 - Full bodied, powerful, mouthfilling, with cherries, toasty oak and spices. The fruit is borderline ripe showing the warm vintage. Very good intensity on nose and palate. While not exactly what I look for in Barolo, I have to admit that this was delicous for the style and will certainly have many admirers. Reminded me a bit of Scavino. Would not hold this much longer. 17.5/20

February 13, 2023 - A powerful and deep Nebbiolo of great structure and persistence. Aged in smaller and larger barrels for 36 months and 12 months in bottle. Medium red, orange hue. Intense aroma of strawberries, cherries, dried rose petals, spices, tobacco hints. Full body, explosive concentration and depth of flavour, powerfully built, delivering all the promises from aroma notes of smoky and spiced ripe and dried red fruits wrapped in dry rose petals with vibrant well integrated acidity and persistent fine grained rich tannins.

May 14, 2022 - Fresh strawberries and plums, spice and florality. Great balance of acidity and fruit and a long, complex finish. Perfect early drinking window.

December 5, 2021 - Drank over three days with significant improvement on day two which indicates an optimal drinking window starting within 3-5 years. Tasting experience consistent with notes below.

    August 28, 2021 - 15% ABV so a powerful one.

Really explosive nose with Morello cherry, wild strawberry, plum, vanilla tobacco, sweet licorice and some spice.
Palate was quite powerful with a decent tannin bite still and mostly dark fruit. Black cherry, plum, blackberry, strawberry, tobacco, oak and finishing quite herbal and spicy.

Great now but could improve with just a few more years!
