  August 21, 2023 - I think that this is pointing downward...Probably about 5 years too late on this one, but you can tell that this was quite substantial and well made for an 11 Napa. It was disjointed with very little perfume, giving you mature red fruit and big dabs of oak and some alcohol domination as the result of the receding fruit and loss of balance. Drink SOON! DRINK

  March 21, 2022 - Second vintage from our epic vertical with Peter. Whereas the 2007 was nearing the end of its life, thick and sweet, this is right in its prime. Wow is this good. Deep garnet with thick legs; not looking tawny yet. I smell blackberry but also that coffee and earth mix I equate with the mountain AVAs in Napa. Really long finish, with some heat on the back end. Opened this for my birthday and glad I did. Ready to go.
