March 28, 2020 - From a 1/2 bottle. Beautiful dark plummy nose with a ton of spice. On the front & mid-palate, the flavors follow the nose perfectly, with a hint more spice, and an underlying lace of chocolate. The finish is just a touch hot (14.5% Alc), but all-in-all, a worthy effort. Opened for an online toast to the late Michael Broadbent (who passed away 17 March 2020), hosted on Facebook Live by his son, Bartholomew Broadbent.

March 22, 2020 - Bouteille reçu en cadeau.
Wow, quelle classe! Beaucoup d’intensité d’arômes de fruits rouges et noirs, pointe de réglisse et d’épice. Frais et profond, mais tout de même très fin et aérien.

January 27, 2020 - This is known as a weaker year in CDP. And it is! Its a good wine but for this price, as other mentioned already, better invest some more and go to 2015 or the very great 2016! Parker 93 Points - but not for now!

January 4, 2020 - Classic and classy, albeit a little bit boring. I wouldn't have guessed beaucastel, as I expected more. 2014 cdp might just be this way, at least the 5 or so I've had. Perhaps a slightly closed phase? Who knows. I would spend the extra for the 2015 or 2016 or backfill 2009 or 2010.

November 30, 2019 - Received a single bottle as a gift so why not open and see what its all about....

    Deep ruby in appearance.

Evolving nose of black fruits, pepper and just bit of Kirsch and garrigue. More evolved than some vintages at this stage (age 5), but still has runway to develop further aromatic complexity.

Medium to medium plus on the palate and certainly not a rich example of this cuvee. The palate is almost "elegant" with similar flavor characteristics- the fruit being on the "crunchy" side.

    Finish is medium plus.

Delicious well made wine that can be easily be cellared for another decade plus and will likely gain more complexity with time.

May 25, 2019 - An easy afternoon with close friends (@ PdV): No formal notes, but the wine delivers according to expectations; Good garrigue, cherries and other ripe berry fruits, good acidity, tannin and length. A beauty to drink from now and over the next 10+ years. 91 – 92
