February 2, 2021 - Cellared since release, perfect cork and fill. Dark red to rim. Dark fruits, spice, earth on the nose. Full body, lots of lush ripe fruit, good balance long finish. Has come out of its shell and is drinking well, but no tertiary complexity yet. Excellent.

December 27, 2019 - There seems to come a time in the life of many merlots where the tannins and acidity have softened, the oak has integrated and you are left with rich sweet plummy fruit, blood and minerals. This is where this wine is right now.

There is some acid and spice on a finish that is still grippy, but I sense that this is right in the middle of its prime drinking window. There is good structure here but it is evolving fast and my sense is that this could be a bit sweet and flabby in five years time. So enjoy now and over the next couple of years.

October 9, 2019 - In a nice spot. About 30 minutes of air brought out the plum, chocolate, flower and earthy nose. The wine is full, rich and round, with loads f ripe sweet, lush, dark cherries and plums on the palate. The finish is ever so slightly dusty around the edges. This is ready to go. Enjoy it over the next 15 years or so with pleasure.

(Chateau Clinet Pomerol) #1; COLOR-dark; NOSE-beautiful; gorgeous fresh & bright red fruits (raspberry, cherry); really enjoying the violet & rose petal on the back-end; TASTE-great back-end structure; you feel the tannins, but not bitter at all -- very polished tannins; massive mouthfeel; dark shaved chocolate on the finish; red fruits, but also a blueberry component; some lavender; pencil shavings and black tea on the finish; exceptional; this shows the polish and elegance of classic Bordeaux; extremely age worthy; WS-99; GV-95
