January 5, 2022 - Un nez sur du fruit éclatant, une bouche fraîche et en finesse, petit accroc une finale courte qui tombe rapidement. 90-91

Beautiful nose, gorgeous even with finesse and freshness on the palate but it falls short in the end, litterally drops on the finish.

January 2, 2022 - Reading my note on this wine from a few months ago it makes sense. This wine when first poured had an incredibly fragrant nose I thought this was going to be the wine of the night... I loved it however when I came to it later it on the palate it was shut down completely. Taste falls short quickly and leaves one wanting ... forget this one for many years

December 24, 2021 - Perfect for drinking now. Well balanced, good fruit and long finish.

December 3, 2021 - I think this one is in a decent spot. Earthy splintery red dank fruit. A fair amount of it here. A little acidity but balanced nicely. A fair amount of youthful, stuff and woodsy tannin here. This wine doesn't have a lot of Bordeaux funk, which I am glad that it doesn't! I'm not so sure that this one was drinking in its prime, as I have had some DMs before that have seemed much more 'ready'. Drink now or cellar another decade...or so.

November 21, 2021 - This is in a surprisingly mellow state with brick-toned, very lightly cedary, almost autumnal material in that restrained style that brings to mind UK-palate claret. I wasn't expecting a 2005 to have gotten past the young fruit and structure stage so quickly but it hasn't quite blossomed into its drinking zone yet. The sheer comfort-wine pleasantness of it prevents me from saying it's in a dumb period but it's definitely playing things close to the vest and I'd expect to see more personality and probably even more richness in a few more years.
