January 4, 2024 - Slightly cloudy and very pale in colour. Funky/stinky nose, notes of red fruit, earth. Pure and transparent on the palate, very mineral, bright, intense. Good length. 89-91
November 24, 2023 - Pretty nose with red fruit, raspberries, slight funk, cherries, and forest notes. Good acidity with tart fruit, more forest notes, a hint of mushrooms, and red berries on the palate. Good finish. A lovely wine that doesn't have crazy complexity, but delivers a lot of pleasure. It suffered a bit from being served next to the 2014 Grisard.
October 4, 2020 - Drinking quite young, with the fruit rather coiled and showing substantial tannin for a Poulsard. The through 2025 window is quite a bit off. I expect to be drinking these in 20 years.
December 16, 2019 - Aromatically and palate-wise where I’d expect, but curiously lacking a little brightness.
July 24, 2017 - PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs and day 2
-semi-translucent light/med red
-fresh berry candied red fruit some savory earth elements
-med/med+ acidity, med- weight refreshing sappy candied red berry and faint licorice shell stains the palate and surrounds a chalky earthy core and somewhat rustic tannins, decent length; just as lovely on day 2
-first time tasting a Poulsard-based Arbois, some similarities to trousseau, drinking very well now with some additional upside potential, really like the lighter weight berry married to soulful earthiness
January 22, 2017 - Really elegant, a true beauty of a wine. Rather sad that this is the final vintage from Puffeney. Drinking wonderfully now.
November 17, 2016 - Bright red berry fruit with hints of liqurice and forest floor . Very pronounced minerality and very high acidity. Still very young. Think this will be better with a few more years in bottle.
September 3, 2016 - Una botella más de este zumito. Reducción esperada. Puro zumo de fruta, piel de naranja, granadas, pimienta, arboleda humeda, el norte.
Vertical y fino, jugoso y explosivo. Herbaceo.
Un grandisimo vino que se bebe con una facilidad pasmoso sin estar exento de complejidad.

May 29, 2016 - Sadly, the last vintage of this wine, but what a way to go out. Perfumed, floral nose. Cranberry notes, orange peel. Beautiful palate. Moves with lightness leaving marks of cranberry, strawberry and licorice pastilles. Good acidity and freshness. This is a wonderful Poulsard. Cheers to Monsieur Puffeny.
