Community Tasting Notes 101

March 31, 2024 - Decanted for about 90 minutes prior to serving. Dark garnet showing no signs of maturity on the rim. The bouquet was berries and dark fruit with a hint of secondary notes. The wine was medium/full bodied, rich and round. Lovely silky mouth feel with excellent balance. Drinking beautifully now and should drink well for many years.

March 4, 2024 - Leather, forest floor, a little cigar box, smidge of brett, mint and sweet spice, blackcurrant & brambles are both beginning to dry out a little, tiny touch of lavender. Fleshy and juicy in the mouth, brambly and blackcurrant fruit, tannins integrated and powdery, textured long, finishes savoury with hints of liquorice. Beautifully balanced. Yum.

93 pts

    January 5, 2024 - Körper: Mittel
    Primär: Johannesbeere, Sauerkirsche
Tertiär: Leder, Dunkle Schokolade, Zedernholz, nasser Tabak

January 2, 2024 - Beginning to open, but the best drinking lies ahead. Bordeaux, particularly in the great vintages, needs time.
