March 27, 2019 - This is really nice after an hour in the decanter. Black cherry, licorice, coffee, blueberry and sage. However, the wine is beginning a decline I believe. Once open too long it grows a bit porty and drying woody notes emerge in the finish. Enjoy these over the next handful of years.

May 27, 2018 - Still drinking beautifully, has a few more years left. On nose, sweet vanilla, oak/wood, ripe blueberries, black figs, and a hint of something like bell pepper. Medium high acid, long finish. Medium tannins still, but smooth.

September 16, 2017 - Continues to drink beautifully! Wonderful sweet blackberry and dark cherry aromas and flavors with sweet oak and mocha notes culminating in a long long finish with resolved tannins. Simply delicious!

January 7, 2017 - A hedonistic and, in many ways, typical Napa cab, with rich fruit, lots of kirsch, prunes, and cedar notes on the palate. Still has plenty of acidity. Kept going strong after 3+ hours of decanting. Appears to be at its peak now. Overly ripe for my palate; no desire to seek more of this.

April 1, 2016 - A big CA cab that was consumed over a period of 4 days. Decanting is definitely required. Lovely nose, dark fruit dominates, balanced, nice finish.
