December 25, 2022 - Decanted for two hours. This is a special wine. Right from the nose this oozes sophistication. Cool nose of black and red fruit, tobacco weed and herbs. On the palate, this has a lovely core of black currant fruit but has now developed interesting secondary notes of tobacco, graphite and autumn leaves. Lovely long complex finish. At full maturity now. This may plateau for a few years and then should have a long graceful decline.

September 10, 2021 - This is a wine that needs to be decanted, rather than simply PNP.
That first night, it was disappointing. But, on the 2nd day it was wonderful - rich, balanced and layered with a long finish. -

March 6, 2021 - Concentrated, full bodied dark blackberry fruit that perfectly integrates with secondary flavors of cassis, leather, dark chocolate and hints of sweetness and lavender on the finish. Silky smooth after a three hour decant and absolutely delicious...drinking beautifully right now.

December 20, 2020 - Picked one up at auction and based on the stickers, this lovely darling had been trafficked. PnP and ready from the get go. Cherry, leather, tobacco, dense earth on the nose, same on the palate but also had Luden’s cherry cough drops and baked red fruits. Don’t think this gets better and the fruit is near end life, so drink up unless you are all in on tertiary notes.
