January 28, 2023 - Decanted for 2 hours with significant sediment. The wine could have used more decanter time as the second glass was better than the first. The color was a deep dark violet. The nose was mostly dark red fruits with streaks of blue and black. The medium plus bodied palate mirrored the fruit on the nose with the addition of more blue and black fruits, lots of spice and earth, and only a faint touch of chocolate, and tannin, on the l..o..n..g finish, with strong but balancing acidity. This wine could make the three-decade mark, but why wait to enjoy it when it's in its drinking window and ready to please -- just give it the air it deserves.

December 19, 2021 - A bit disappointing. Lacking fruit and spice that this wine typically delivers.

December 13, 2021 - Beautiful dark color still
    Dark fruit nose
Dark berries, tar, and outstanding balance/depth
    Lingering finish

May 9, 2021 - Improving with age, the edges are smoothing out. Big grip on the finish, may smooth out over the years but I doubt it will gain any complexity.

October 25, 2020 - Almost black in color with a monolithic frame that is now giving way after a long time in bottle. Bouquet and flavor of dark plums and dark chocolate. Tannins still impressive with great density but generally good balance. Quite a long finish. Will keep forever.
