March 21, 2021 - It was okay, but we probably held this too long. Flavors were sort of smashed together in the wine, color more brown than red.

March 13, 2017 - meh.....it tasted kinda sorta like pinot. Kinda. The upside is reduced alcohol consumption, one glass was more than enough. Almost never does a bottle of pinot noir last 3 days around here. 85-86ish

November 10, 2016 - Correct for a Cali pinot--that is slightly sweet, with cherry cola vibe and simple overall.

August 28, 2016 - Light, easy. Bouquet of Berries, almonds, honeydew, and a hint of citrus rind, perhaps a little honeysuckle? No; it's jasmine! Long on the tongue; slight astringency at end. This is not a huge wine: it sits a little flat on the palate and lacks significant complexity. But, it is undoubtedly a pleasant drink. Would I buy it again? Sure I would!

August 24, 2016 - Really great QPR on this one. Tasted like at least double the price. Flavor profile became increasingly complex with air. Started out cherry driven, but chocolate, cola, and spices emerged with time. Smooth in the mouth with only light tannin and a hint of sweetness.

June 24, 2016 - I'm getting fragrances of red fruit and spice (cardamom) with a sweet finish, and the alcohol though high (15.4%) seems more or less covered. Simple and straightforward, but quite a nice wine at this price point, I just don't get the horrifying suggestions that it tastes like burnt tomato paste and shoe polish.

June 24, 2016 - Upon opening, this wine was a little muted. Some nice fruit and not much else. It improved after an hour in the glass, and I will probably decant the remaining bottles that I have. The fruit became more expressive and coffee and chocolate showed up too. Not much acid here, so I won't be holding onto these for long. I didn't get anything resembling tomatoes or stewed fruit like others have mentioned, so I guess I got lucky. Overall, a good value; I'd be hard pressed to find a Pinot this good at a chain grocery store for even double the price.

May 28, 2016 - Color: Dark cherry. Very translucent.
Nose: somewhat muted gooseberry, poppy seeds, and leather.
Flavor: more fruit foward - predominantly blackberry, but some licorace, anise, black chocolate and bitter coffee as well. Very creamy texture and a good flow into the middle where the fruit falls off and the more subtle flavors take over. A lingering finish (close to a minute) and very smooth. Light bodied.

At first, was not impressed, but as time wore on, the appreciation improved. Excellent QPR ($10 on Last Bottle). Not sure if sitting on this bottle will improve it greatly so enjoy now.

May 9, 2016 - Still one of my favorite Pinots for the price point. Getting a lot of blackberry tonight with maybe even a hint of blueberry?
